Ohio EdChoice Plus Program
Explore educational opportunities through the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program. Eligible Ohio families may receive financial assistance to help cover tuition at participating private schools, giving students access to an education that fits their needs and goals.
Dear Families,
Thank you for your interest in applying for the EdChoice Scholarship program through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW). The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship application process is currently open for the 2026-27 school year.
All families are eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship. K-12 students with a family income at or below 450% of the federal poverty level (up to $148,500 for a family of four) will be eligible for the full value of the scholarship. The value of the scholarship for the 26-27 school year is $6,166 for grades K-8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12.
All students with a family income
over 450% of poverty will be eligible for a scholarship at a reduced rate based on their income level. See the linked documents below for details.
Schools are able to charge the difference of tuition for any families who are over 200% of the federal poverty level. The New Hope Christian Academy School Board voted to charge the difference of tuition in conjunction with fully awarded scholarships beginning in the 23-24 school year.

Important Note: If you have a child who received an EdChoice Expansion Scholarship in the 2025-26 school year, you are not required to submit income for a new applicant (i.e. younger sibling). See the Renewal Parent Email for details.
2026-27 NHCA tuition rates are as follows:
Elementary (K-5): $7,700
Middle School (6-8): $8,015
High School (9-12): $10,075
If your EdChoice scholarship is awarded and there is still a balance of tuition owed, limited financial aid may be available for qualifying families to cover a portion of the tuition owed.

You will be required to sign a limited power of attorney form, available in the office of the Director of Finance and Admission, after your child’s scholarship is awarded. This allows the school to deposit the scholarship check each month.
