Please click on your child’s grade level and the dated document for each day’s work. You do NOT need a Google account to log in. It is important to note that the instruction for each day will only be uploaded the evening before it is assigned. As mentioned earlier, we do not want to overwhelm families with work. The activities created by teachers are designed to be meaningful and beneficial. The goal of this instruction is to keep students moving forward. It is not intended to be burdensome or difficult for families. If your child is taking a lengthy amount of time or is highly frustrated, please e-mail your child’s teacher and let him/her know. We are all working through this new online instruction together, and we need to know if adjustments need to be made.
If your child receives any sort of tutoring or intervention services during this week, you will be receiving a separate email from one of the tutors, your child’s teacher, or Ms. T. in the next day or so. We want to continue providing those services through this time of online instruction.
If you are having trouble with any lesson/assignment, please let your child’s teacher know. Teachers will be available by e-mail to answer any questions or concerns you may have. You are also welcome to set up a phone call or Zoom conference call with the teacher. Teachers will check e-mail frequently between 9am and 3pm each weekday and will respond to your e-mail within 2 hours of receiving it. Please let them know if you have ANY questions or concerns.
Subjects can be completed in any order that you choose. We suggest starting with your strongest subject and taking frequent breaks. Remember that all of the work does not need to be completed in one sitting!
Special note for elementary students: Note that physical education activities are listed for everyone on Monday, even though some grade levels don’t have the class until later in the week. Students are encouraged to participate in some kind of physical activity every day, as explained more thoroughly in Miss Kelly’s notes.
Some assignments will need to be submitted electronically to your child’s teacher. Anything that needs to be submitted to the teacher is written in red font and underlined to make it easy to see.
Special note for middle/high school students: Most teachers have created a Google Classroom account and you should have received an invite to join. Please make sure you (student) accept the invites if you haven’t already done so.
In order to continue taking attendance during this online instruction, each family is asked to daily email the school’s attendance address (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 11:59pm beginning on Monday to let us know that you have seen the assignments for your child(ren) for the day. This e-mail can simply be a quick note to say “Our family has accessed the online instruction for today.” Again, this needs to be sent on a daily basis (Monday-Friday) to give credit for attendance.
We continue to hold firm to the fact that we serve a God who is good, faithful, and ever-present. He is not surprised by these events! We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time, and we are so blessed to partner with you in your child’s education.
